Relaxer can generate an XML Schema schema from the Relaxer meta model instance. Since the Relaxer meta model instance can be build from a RELAX NG schema, a RELAX Core schema, sample XML documents, or a RDBMS table schema, Relaxer can translate these input schema instance to the XML Schema schema.
Since XML Schema lacks important features to model XML documents, the Relaxer XML Schema generator unfortunately cannot generate an XML Schema schema mapped by a RELAX schema.
However, if a schema is to be used in simple data exchange, which is a main target for XML Schema, the XML Schema generator can generate a sufficient schema.
